TORTURING AND QUESTIONING THE MASCULINITY OF A MAN : UNSEEN REALITIES IN INDIAN WOMEN EMPOWERMENT.

0
While talking about gender equality, every talks are based on women empowerment and need of feminism. When our government and court create special laws for women, have they ever thought about the misuse of these laws ? This is a very important question in the present scenario. How can we assure equality if any women use their special laws to defame a particular person or as a tool to fulfill her venegance ?
I have seen movies in which women beat men and project it as women empowerment. If you picturize a male character's violence to female character as misogynistic, then how can you say that female's violence to men is empowering them ?

We have many talks and debates on workplace issues. But in those topics also we focus only on women centric issues.Male workers also have gender based workplace issues in professions like nursing, teaching and the workplaces where women are more in number. I am not generalising, what I am saying is about the gender inequality which is now questioning and torturing the masculinity of the men.

You can see this torturing in television serials also.In the evening television serials where women grab the huge percentage of audience, the serial makers portray male actors are just like a characterless and vulnerable person. They have nothing to do with the arrogant and stubborn female characters. You may think that is just a serial, not real. But other than an audio visual entertainment, it have a power to convey the things the director want to say. Or the subconscious ideas of the writer would reflect through this medium. As a powerful medium television serials also should have some responsibility in picturizing its content. In this sense, audience of such television serials are under a toxic conditioning of female dominance.

A true empowerment of people is not based on any gender, it is based on humanity.Cultivation and promotion of female dominance is not a solution for gender discrimination. I agree with women empowerment ideas but any kind of empowerment with inequality is just like a chicken curry with zero number of chicken pieces.
